Since 1928, Zonta International has addressed challenges to women's equality in science, business, public affairs and government by providing critical financial support through programs aimed at furthering women's education, leadership and youth development.
Young Women in Public Affairs Award
The Award recognizes young women, ages 16-19, who demonstrate superior leadership skills and a commitment to public service and civic causes, and encourages them to continue their participation in public and political life. For a full list of the eligibility and application requirements, please refer to the application. Ten (10) international scholarships of US$4,000 each and up to 32 district/region scholarships of US$1,000 each are awarded each year. Applications must be submitted through a Zonta club. Jane Klausman Women in Business Scholarship
This program was established in 1998 to encourage undergraduate women to enter careers and seek leadership positions in business-related fields. The program ultimately seeks to influence business decisions that positively affect women by increasing the number of women in executive positions in the field of business management. This program was established from a bequest by Jane M. Klausman, a member of the Zonta Club of Syracuse, New York USA, and the 1990-1995 Zonta International Parliamentarian.
